Key Technical Advantages & Structural Features

1. IP44 Moisture and Dust Protection : Standard indoor ceiling fittings carry an IP20 rating, leaving internal reflectors vulnerable to fine dust accumulation, insect intrusion, and ambient humidity damage. The PMW LU440T8 features an IP44 Ingress Protection rating. This sealed structure prevents foreign object entry (>1mm) and resists splashing water from all angles, ensuring optical clarity and fixture durability in humid environments like Malaysia.
2. Ultra-Slim 85mm Profile Design: Modern architectural designs often feature shallow ceiling plenums congested with air conditioning ductwork, electrical conduits, and fire suppression systems. With a structural depth profile of 85mm, the LU440T8 drops into T-bar ceiling frameworks without structural modification.
3. Quadruple Tube Capacity for Maximum Illuminance:  Accommodating four 4ft T8 LED tubes, the LU440T8 is built for high-lux zones. Facility managers can select their preferred tube wattage, color temperature (3000K Warm White, 4000K Cool White, or 6500K Daylight), and color rendering specs.Because the fitting utilizes standard T8 LED lamps, future lamp replacements do not require discarding the entire luminaire—reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) and long-term electronic waste.

Q1: What is the PMW LUXIAN LU440T8 LED Troffer Light used for?
A: The PMW LUXIAN LU440T8 is a commercial 4-tube recessed T-bar LED ceiling fixture designed to drop directly into suspended ceiling grid systems. It provides uniform lighting for offices, school classrooms, healthcare facilities, commercial retail outlets, and public infrastructure spaces across Malaysia.

Q2: What does the IP44 rating mean for an indoor ceiling troffer light?
A:An IP44 rating means the fixture is protected against solid foreign objects larger than 1mm (such as dust and tiny wires) and is splash-proof against water ingress from any direction. This makes the LU440T8 more durable than basic IP20 office lights, particularly in humid tropical climates like Malaysia.

Q3: Does the PMW LU440T8 troffer light come pre-installed with T8 LED tubes?
A:No, the PMW LU440T8 is a dedicated troffer housing fitting designed to hold four standard 4-foot T8 LED tubes. This allows electrical contractors and facility managers to choose their preferred tube brand, wattage, and color temperature (3000K, 4000K, or 6500K).

Q4: Will the PMW LU440T8 fit into shallow ceiling spaces?
A:Yes. The PMW LU440T8 features an ultra-slim body height profile of just 85mm. This low-profile design allows smooth installation into shallow ceiling plenums without hitting overhead structural beams or HVAC ducting.

Q5: What is the benefit of a 4-tube LED troffer light compared to 2-tube or 3-tube models?
A: A 4-tube configuration (like the LU440T8) provides maximum total lumen output per light fixture. This makes it ideal for high-ceiling commercial environments, open-plan office spaces, and areas requiring higher lux levels without increasing total fitting points.

Q6: Can the PMW LU440T8 be installed in plasterboard / gypsum board ceilings without T-bars?
A: The LU440T8 is engineered specifically for suspended T-bar grid ceilings. For plasterboard or concrete slab installations without a suspended T-bar grid, surface-mount variants or specialized ceiling bracket kits are recommended.

Q7: What material is used in the construction of the PMW LUXIAN Series housing?
A: The PMW LUXIAN Series uses powder-coated steel housing designed for thermal dissipation, structural rigidity, corrosion resistance, and optical reflection.

Q8: Where can electrical contractors buy PMW LED troffer lights in Malaysia?
A: PMW LED troffer lights are supplied across Malaysia through authorized electrical wholesalers, commercial lighting distributors, and direct project lighting suppliers.
