Full Description:
High-Performance Commercial Ceiling Illumination
Upgrade commercial interiors with the PMW LED Troffer Light (LUXIAN Series) T-Bar (4 TUBE) - LU420T8, an energy-efficient recessed luminaire designed for modern office suspended grid ceilings. Built to meet strict Malaysian M&E project standards, this 4-tube T8 LED fitting delivers high-lumen, uniform light distribution while significantly reducing energy consumption compared to traditional fluorescent fixtures.Engineered specifically for modular T-Bar ceiling grids, the LU420T8 series offers precise fitment options for both Imperial (01.LUTIN2.420T8.00) and Metric (01.LUTMN2.420T8.00) grid layouts. Whether outfitting a new corporate office tower in Kuala Lumpur, upgrading a healthcare facility in Penang, or renovating an industrial workspace in Johor Bahru, the PMW LUXIAN Series provides a clean, professional finish with hassle-free installation.
Dual Dimensional Accuracy: Imperial & Metric Standards
Commercial ceiling grid standards in Malaysia often vary between traditional Imperial measurements (2ft x 2ft) and European Metric modules. The PMW LU420T8 addresses this challenge directly by offering specialized manufacturing specs for both grid formats:- Imperial Standard (Product Code: 01.LUTIN2.420T8.00): Features dimensions of L 612mm × L1 600mm × W 605mm × H85mm, engineered for seamless drop-in fitment into classic 2ft × 2ft ceiling frameworks.
- Metric Standard (Product Code: 01.LUTMN2.420T8.00): Features dimensions of L 612mm × L1 585mm × W 595mm × H 85mm, tailored specifically for modern metric suspended T-bar systems.
Both variants maintain a slim, low-profile height (H 85mm) to accommodate shallow plenum spaces above suspended ceilings without compromising thermal dissipation or wire management space.
Superior Ingress Protection: IP44 Rated
Unlike basic indoor lighting fittings that only carry IP20 ratings, the PMW LUXIAN LU420T8 is built with an IP44 Ingress Protection rating. This enhanced rating shields the luminaire against solid objects larger than 1mm and protects internal circuitry from water splashes from any direction. As a result, this 4-tube T8 fixture is suitable for environments prone to moisture or dust accumulation, such as:- Commercial pantries and cafeteria service zones
- Hallways,stairwells, and service corridors
- Cleanrooms, laboratories, and light manufacturing facilities
- Educational institutions, libraries, and public lobbies
Optimized 4-Tube T8 Efficiency & Anti-Glare Optics
Designed to house four 2ft T8 LED tubes, the LU420T8 maximizes lumen output while giving electrical contractors and facility managers the flexibility to select their preferred color temperature (Daylight 6500K, Cool White 4000K, or Warm White 3000K) and tube driver setup. The precision-formed housing includes high-reflectivity optics that channel light downward while eliminating optical hot spots and harsh screen glare. This creates a comfortable visual environment that complies with office ergonomics standards and reduces worker fatigue during long working hours.Specification:

Q1: What does IP44 rating mean for commercial LED troffer lights?
A:An IP44 rating means the fixture is protected against solid particles larger than 1mm and protected against water splashes from any angle. This makes IP44 troffer lights safer and more durable than standard IP20 fittings, especially in humid or dusty commercial spaces.
Q2: How many T8 LED tubes does the PMW LUXIAN LU420T8 hold?
A: The PMW LUXIAN LU420T8 is a 4-tube fitting designed to run four 2-foot T8 LED tubes simultaneously.
Q3: Can the PMW LU420T8 LED troffer light fit shallow ceiling spaces?
A: Yes, with a compact height profile of only 85mm, the LU420T8 easily fits inside tight, shallow ceiling plenums commonly found in Malaysian commercial developments.
Q4: Are LED troffer light fittings suitable for office replacement projects?
A: Yes. Recessed 4-tube T8 LED troffers are the standard direct replacement for older fluorescent grid lights in office buildings, providing up to 60% energy savings and longer operational lifespans.
Q5: Where are T-Bar LED troffer lights typically installed?
A: They are primarily installed in commercial suspended grid ceilings across corporate offices, government buildings, healthcare facilities, schools, and retail corridors.
Q6: Does a 4-tube T8 troffer light require an external LED ballast?
A: Most modern T8 LED tubes use direct AC wiring (single-end or double-end power input), allowing contractors to bypass traditional magnetic or electronic ballasts for improved efficiency and lower maintenance costs.
Q7: Why choose a 4-tube LED troffer light instead of a flat 2x2 LED panel light?
A: 4-tube T8 troffer fittings offer lower long-term maintenance costs because individual LED tubes can be swapped out quickly if they fail, without needing to replace the entire fixture body or ceiling unit.
Q8: Where can I buy PMW LUXIAN Series LED troffer lights in Malaysia?
A: PMW LUXIAN Series luminaires are available through authorized M&E electrical wholesalers, commercial lighting distributors, and direct project suppliers in Malaysia.
