This resilient metal casing offers outstanding durability, scratch resistance, and protection against daily wear. Its ultra-slim, flush-mounted profile rests neatly against the wall surface without gaps, producing a seamless, minimalist appearance that complements modern interior themes.
Integrated LED Indicator for Low-Light Navigation
Equipped with a built-in LED indicator light, this 2 Gang switch provides convenient visibility during nighttime or in dimmed rooms. The soft LED glow helps users locate the switch quickly in hallways, bedrooms, or living spaces without disturbing room ambiance, combining practical utility with refined aesthetics.
Reliable Dual Light Control (16AX 250V)
Featuring a 2 Gang 1 Way electromechanical configuration, the NUX32_1N_DB allows you to independently control two separate lighting circuits or fixture groups from a single wall plate location. Rated at 16AX current and 250V operational voltage (50/60Hz), this switch easily handles heavy lighting loads, including modern LED drivers, inductive loads, track lights, and high-wattage residential or commercial lighting setups without contact welding or overheating risks.
Safety Compliance & Universal Installation
Engineered to adhere strictly to international safety benchmark IEC 60669-1 and carrying standard IEC certification, the Schneider Unica X series provides maximum operational safety and fire protection. Q1: What does "2 Gang 1 Way switch" mean?
A: A "2 Gang 1 Way switch" contains two separate buttons (rockers) on a single faceplate, allowing you to control two distinct light circuits or fixtures independently from one wall location. "1 Way" means each light circuit is turned ON/OFF from that single switch position only.
Q2: What is the purpose of the LED indicator on the Schneider UnicaX switch?
A: The built-in LED indicator serves as a locator light in dark environments. It emits a subtle glow so you can quickly locate the wall switch at night without fumbling in the dark or turning on main lights.
Q3: Does the Schneider UnicaX Dark Bronze switch fit standard wall boxes in Malaysia?
A: Yes, the Schneider UnicaX series is designed to fit standard 86mm x 86mm concealed mounting backboxes commonly used in residential and commercial electrical wiring across Malaysia.
Q4: Is the dark bronze finish prone to rusting or fading over time?
A: No, the faceplate is manufactured using high-grade stainless steel with a protective metallic tint coating. This makes it resistant to corrosion, rust, fingerprint marks, and color fading under normal indoor conditions.
Q5: What is an IP20 rating on a light switch?
A: An IP20 rating means the switch plate is protected against solid foreign objects larger than 12.5mm (such as fingers or small tools). It is designed specifically for dry indoor areas like living rooms, bedrooms, and offices, but is not water-resistant or suitable for direct outdoor rain exposure.
Q6: What standards does Schneider UnicaX comply with in Malaysia?
A:The Schneider UnicaX series complies with IEC 60669-1, the recognized international electrical safety standard for household and similar fixed electrical installations.
Q7: Can the Schneider UnicaX 16AX switch be used to control ceiling fans?
A: Yes, because it has a 16AX load rating and high tolerance for inductive currents, it can safely switch simple ON/OFF fan power lines. However, to adjust fan speeds, a dedicated ceiling fan regulator or dimmer unit is recommended.
Q8: Where can I buy original Schneider UnicaX switches in Malaysia?
A: Authentic Schneider UnicaX switches (including NUX32_1N_DB) can be purchased through authorized Schneider Electric distributors, specialized lighting stores, and top online hardware marketplaces like Shopee, Lazada, or local electrical supply platforms.
