Full Description:
Elevate Modern Interiors with Schneider Unica X
The Schneider Unica X Series redefines modern interior aesthetics through ultra-slim architecture and premium material design. The NUX15DN_DG model features a refined Dark Grey stainless steel finish that blends into modern minimalist, industrial, contemporary corporate, and luxury residential environments. Unlike basic plastic electrical fittings, the metallic faceplate provides elevated durability, scratch resistance, and an upscale metallic feel that complements contemporary interior palettes.Designed for seamless wall flush mounting, the socket fits standard wall boxes to ensure clean architectural lines across living rooms, executive offices, boutique hotels, and modern kitchens.
Industrial-Grade Electrical Safety with Double Pole Switching
Safety remains the top priority in power distribution. The Schneider Unica X 13A Switch Socket features a Double Pole (DP) switching mechanism. Unlike single-pole switches that only disconnect the live wire, double-pole switches break both the Live (L) and Neutral (N) connections simultaneously when turned off. This dual-disconnection system eliminates residual electrical current, preventing electrical shocks, short circuits, and damage to sensitive home electronics during power surges or neutral line faults. Operating at 250V and 50 Hz frequency on standard British 3-pin standard (BS 1363), it is optimized for safety and stability across Malaysian electrical grids.
Integrated Soft LED Power Indicator
The NUX15DN_DG unit incorporates a subtle, power-efficient LED Indicator built into the switch module. The LED provides instant visual feedback on power supply status:
- Enhanced Visibility at Night: Effortlessly locate power outlets in dark environments such as bedrooms, hallways, home theaters, and hotel rooms.
- Instant Power Status: Visually confirm whether connected high-draw appliances or charging hubs are receiving live power without unplugging devices.
Premium Stainless Steel Build & Protection
Built for long-term operational resilience, the unit features a high-durability Stainless Steel front plate paired with robust internal copper contact terminals. Rated at IP20 degree of protection, the module guards against solid object intrusion during everyday installation and maintenance. The electrical component undergoes rigorous testing to meet BS 1363 (British Standard for 13A Switched Socket-Outlets) and IEC 60884 international switch socket safety standards, making it compliant with strict architectural, developer, and electrical contractor guidelines in Malaysia.
Specification:
Q1: Is the Schneider Unica X 13A socket suitable for standard Malaysian homes?
A: Yes. The Schneider Unica X 13A switch socket operates at 250V 50Hz and uses the British standard 3-pin layout (BS 1363), which is the official standard for electrical installations across Malaysia.
Q2: : What does the LED indicator on the Schneider NUX15DN_DG socket do?
A: The LED indicator lights up to show whether the socket outlet is receiving power. It offers easy status verification for connected devices and makes the socket easy to find in dim lighting or dark rooms.
Q3: What is the benefit of the stainless steel material in the Unica X series?
A: The stainless steel material offers high physical durability, scratch resistance, and easy cleaning. It resists wear over time compared to standard plastic wall switches while offering a modern metallic aesthetic.
Q4: What does IP20 rating mean for wall sockets?
A: An IP20 rating indicates protection against solid objects larger than 12.5mm (such as fingers or tools). It is the standard protection level for indoor wall sockets installed in dry environments like bedrooms, living rooms, and office spaces.
