Q1: What is the difference between a 1-way and 2-way Schneider Vivace E switch?
A: A 1-way switch operates a light fixture from a single location. A 2-way switch (model KBN3416_2_WE_G11) allows you to control the same lighting circuit from two separate locations, which is perfect for staircases, long corridors, or dual bedside controls.
Q2: Can the Schneider Vivace E 4 gang switch handle heavy appliances like water heaters?
A: No. This model is rated at 16AX and is engineered strictly for standard lighting loads. For high-draw appliances like water heaters or air conditioning units, use a dedicated 20A double pole switch or 15A power socket.
Q3: Will the white color turn yellowish over time under hot weather?
A:No. The Vivace E series is built with high-grade, UV-stabilized polycarbonate materials that resist thermal aging and discoloration under typical indoor Malaysian climates.
Q4: Is this switch certified by local authorities in Malaysia?
A: Yes, Schneider Vivace E switches comply with IEC 60669-1 international standards and meet local safety requirements demanded by Malaysian contractors.
Q5: Can I use this to replace older Schneider or local wall switches?
A:Yes, because it follows standard 86x86mm modular sizing, it serves as a direct, drop-in replacement for older home or office switch plates in Malaysia.
Q6: How many wires can fit into the switch terminals?
A: The terminal design accommodates standard Malaysian household wiring configurations securely, allowing seamless loop-in and loop-out connections.
Q7: Where is the best place to buy genuine Schneider Vivace E switches in Malaysia?
A: You can purchase genuine units through authorized Schneider Electric electrical distributors, specialized lighting shops, and trusted hardware e-commerce platforms across Malaysia.
