A: Yes, the Schneider Vivace KB15DACUSB_AS_G11 features a 21W USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port, which supports fast charging for modern iPhones, Samsung Galaxy devices, and other PD-compatible electronics.

Q2: Is this Schneider Vivace 13A socket SIRIM approved for use in Malaysia?

A: Yes, it is 100% SIRIM certified and conforms to BS 1363 safety standards, guaranteeing compliance with Malaysia’s Suruhanjaya Tenaga electrical safety guidelines.

Q3: Can I use both the 13A plug socket and the USB ports at the same time?

A: Absolutely. You can power standard 13A household appliances while simultaneously charging two mobile devices via the USB Type-A and Type-C ports.

Q4: Will this Schneider Vivace socket fit standard Malaysian wall back boxes?

A: Yes, it measures 86mm x 86mm and fits standard flush 32mm mounting wall boxes (BS 1361) commonly installed across Malaysian homes and offices.

Q5: What is the benefit of USB Type-C 21W PD over standard 2.1A USB wall sockets?

A: A 21W PD port delivers significantly higher charging speeds compared to standard 2.1A (10.5W) USB sockets. It allows compatible smartphones to reach up to 50% battery in approximately 30 minutes.

Q6: Does this wall socket require a special wiring installation?

A: No, it connects to standard single-phase 220–250V AC electrical wiring (Live, Neutral, Earth). However, installation by a licensed Malaysian electrician is strongly recommended.

Q8: Can I charge a laptop using the 21W USB-C port on this socket?

A: The 21W USB-C port is ideal for smartphones, tablets, and small gadgets. While it can provide slow trickling charges to low-power laptops (like MacBook Air), high-power laptops should use their dedicated power brick in the 13A plug socket.

Q9: Is Schneider Electric Vivace suitable for both residential and commercial projects?

A: Yes, the Vivace series is widely specified by Malaysian architects and contractors for landed houses, condominiums, offices, cafes, and hotels due to its modern aesthetic and durability.
